The Clinical Data Entry Processor provides clerical support to the Beebe Home Health Agency referral and admission process. This is a multi-task position which includes: entering all referrals into the EMR, tracking Face 2 Face documentation for required information and signature and review of the Plan of Treatment information for required information and physician signature. Generates and tracks Face 2 Faces meet the 30-day submission timeline. Provides back-up support for clerical functions in the absence of front office staff. This position reports to the Director of Home Care Services.
Other information: Minimum of 2 years medical data entry experience including computer skills.Experience in a health care setting is preferred. Courses in medical terminology.
Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the office as needed Establishes professional relationships with referral sources Receives home health referrals and enters patient information into the home health electronic medical record. Tracks and obtains physician signatures on the Face 2 Face document in a timely manner for all home health admissions that require one. Provides weekly status report on outstanding Face 2 Face signatures at biweekly roundtable meetings. Participates in BHCS process improvement initiatives that improve workflow and office efficiency Establishes open communication with BHCS management team. Willingly accepts other duties as assigned.
