UMEC USA was established in 2000 as a US based service center offering Sales and R&D support for US based customer for our parent company Universal Microelectronics Company (UMEC) located in Taichung Taiwan that has been in operation since 1984.  UMEC has 3 predominant product lines: Magnetics (to include transformers and inductors), Power Supplies (to include DCDC converters, ACDC adapters, Open-Frame ACDC and industrial Power supplies) and OEM (PCB assembly) that constitute around $100 million dollars in global sales.  There are 3,000 employees in the approx 1 million ft² (96,000m² ) of Agency Certified facilities located in Mainland China (just outside of Hong Kong) and Taichung Taiwan (corporate headquarters). Both are setup as catastrophic redundant manufacturing locations of the other. 

September 2013 UMEC USA relocated its operations from Willmar MN to North Las Vegas.  Since only Senior Management relocated to Las Vegas, there is a need for qualified personnel in our customer service positions.  Our positions are unique because you will learn all aspects of all of our customer service positions.  From order processing to sample preparation. From bookkeeping to sample qualification.  Those with aptitudes toward particular aspects will focus on associated tasks.

Given our market is niche and related experience rare, UMEC USA believes in on-the-job-training.  UMEC USA promotes from within for senior positions.
