The corporate office of 80 associates is organized into full service and limited service operating teams. Sage is currently a direct investor in the majority of the hotels that it operates. In addition to hotel management, Sage is focused on the revitalization of urban communities through the unique redevelopment opportunities that historic properties present. Since 1994, Sage has invested $500 million in hotel development projects and has redeveloped six historic buildings into first-class hotels. Projects completed thus far include Courtyard by Marriotts in downtown Denver & downtown San Diego, the Renaissance Fulton Hotel Pittsburgh, and the Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Milwaukee. Sage is one of the largest Marriott franchise partners in the country, owning and managing brands such as Fairfield Inn, TownePlace Suites, Courtyard, Residence Inn and Renaissance. In May of 2000, Sage was awarded the National Community Service Award by Marriott Lodging. Each year Marriott Lodging recognizes franchise companies for embracing Marriott’s “Spirit to Serve” through contributions to the community and environment. Another primary franchise partner for Sage is Hilton. Sage has supported the growth of the Hilton Garden Inn product by opening and managing a portfolio across the country.
