Brookdale has been providing Exceptional Senior Living since 1988, starting with retirement communities in Texas and Illinois.
We now have more than 11,800 residents in 62 properties across 27 states, so we’re experienced in our business and have many satisfied residents and their families who agree.
We’ve grown significantly since then, thanks to our Chicago headquarters management team, which has extensive experience in the retirement living and hospitality industries.
All of our staff, from corporate leadership to property personnel, is vital in keeping the Brookdale Experience alive for residents. We have more than 5,200 employees across the country.
The Brookdale Philosophy
At Brookdale, we’re focused on providing our residents the kind of living experience they want. For some, that means plenty of activities, classes and outings. Others prefer to read or engage in hobbies on their own. People are different. We realize that and strive to accommodate every taste.
Part of accommodating means listening. We poll our residents to determine their needs and level of satisfaction with our work. Our ultimate goal is to provide an "Exceptional Senior Living" experience, something that provides residents plenty of opportunities and choice. Residents have input in the meals we serve, activities we offer and transportation we provide. Every point of contact with our community is therefore designed to enhance satisfaction.
We are also building signature properties in select communities across the country. We evaluate locations based on a number of factors, including favorable demographics, competitive analysis, estimated market demand and location. In order to ensure residents’ needs are met, we evaluate building design with site staff and residents, continually looking to improve customer satisfaction.
