The Avilas’ business has grown from a two-person, one-store enterprise in 1978 to ten specialty airport stores in three states with a diverse staff of over 100 people and a payroll in excess of 1.6 million dollars. The local and home office staffs are seen as one entity. They are a group of dedicated individuals who love the tourism and travel business and are dedicated to quality customer service. Members bring their individual talents together to make each store profitable, successful, and a delight for customers. There are Operations Managers, Store Directors, Floor Supervisors, Sales Associates, and support staff members that have been with the company for many years. John and Kathleen Avila consider these people to be the key to the Avila Retail success.
