Credit Acceptance was founded in 1972 to service and collect retail installment contracts originated and funded by auto dealerships owned by our founder and current Chairman of the Board, Donald Foss. During the 1980�s, the service was marketed to other dealerships. In 1992, Credit Acceptance went public. At that time there were approximately 50 employees working at Credit Acceptance. Currently there are over 600 team members. In 1999 Credit Acceptance opened a call center in Henderson, Nevada, which currently has over 100 team members and is expected to grow to over 300 team members by 2007.
